Users and Security

As you would expect Asset Guardian® offers administrators the facility to add, delete and edit an unlimited number of users. Within the security configuration, there are eleven separate function options for each user, allowing the administrator to tailor exactly what access and authority each user has to the system. For instance, one level of authority allows users to raise change requests but a higher level, say a manager, is required to approve and assign the work.

Asset Guardian® also generates a sub-set of users called clients. These contain the name of all the contacts, be it customer or supplier, that have been added to a controlled copy list within any Asset or have been the contact on e-mailed correspondence. This list of users builds as more people are added, and allows commonly used contacts to be selected from a list rather than being re-typed each time.
